Life Care Centers of America honored Jason Odenthal, executive director at Life Care Center of Farmington, New Mexico, with one of two President’s Awards for its Mountain States Division on Aug. 14, 2017.
The President’s Award recognizes distinguished service in a long-term health care management role. The Mountain States Division includes 30 skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Hawaii.
Odenthal was praised for his good stewardship and his focus on valuing his staff. Under his leadership, Life Care Center of Farmington achieved a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2017, and turnover has decreased.
“Jason is a caring and inclusive leader for the associates, residents and families of Life Care Center of Farmington,” said Jay Beaudoin, vice president of Life Care’s Pikes Peak Region.
“Jason has demonstrated professional skill and compassion in dispatching his responsibilities to the associates, residents and families he serves,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “He has uniquely demonstrated a leadership style for others to emulate. This is a distinguished award to receive because it goes to the heart of our mission.”
Fifteen President’s Awards are presented annually to leaders of overall successful facilities or organizations within Life Care.
